CHAKWAL: The Punjab Wildlife Department continued its crackdown against illegal hunting, seizing an illegally installed quail hunting net during an operation in Talagang tehsil.
The action was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Chief Wildlife Ranger for Chakwal district. During the operation, Wildlife Inspector Abdul Hameed confiscated a prohibited quail trapping net that had been set up in violation of wildlife protection laws.
The department reiterated that illegal hunting and the use of unauthorized trapping nets are punishable offences under the law and warned that strict action will continue against violators.
Officials urged the public to support wildlife conservation efforts by reporting illegal hunting activities and helping protect Pakistan’s natural biodiversity.
The Wildlife Department reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing wildlife laws and preserving the country’s valuable wildlife resources through continued surveillance and enforcement operations.
