NATHIA GALI: The Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), organized an environmental awareness walk and tree plantation drive for students of Government High School Nathia Gali.
Students participated in the awareness walk carrying banners and placards displaying messages about environmental protection, the importance of forests and the need to protect trees.
Following the walk, students, teachers and representatives of the relevant organizations took part in a plantation activity and planted saplings at different locations.
Speakers on the occasion emphasized that increasing tree cover and protecting existing forests are essential to preserving the natural beauty and ecological balance of Galiyat. They highlighted the importance of engaging young people in environmental initiatives and developing a culture of conservation among the next generation.
Participants expressed their commitment to promoting environmentally friendly activities and increasing awareness among young people about the importance of protecting forests and natural resources.
The continued collaboration between GDA and WWF is expected to support efforts to promote greener surroundings, environmental awareness and sustainable conservation practices across the Galiyat region.
