GILGIT: Accelerate Prosperity, in collaboration with Karakoram International University (KIU), has inaugurated the Centre for Green Innovation (CGI) in Gilgit to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable business development in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Raimundas Karoblis as chief guest, along with KIU Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq, Aga Khan Foundation Pakistan CEO Akhtar Iqbal and Accelerate Prosperity Country Director Zahir Sakhi.
The Centre for Green Innovation is a joint initiative of Accelerate Prosperity and KIU. It aims to provide a platform where entrepreneurs, innovators and young people can connect, collaborate and develop solutions to environmental and economic challenges facing the region.
The centre is designed to bring together ideas, expertise and opportunities to support locally driven innovation and help sustainable businesses grow.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to encouraging entrepreneurship, promoting green solutions and creating new opportunities for sustainable economic development in Gilgit-Baltistan.
