A flight destined for the United States had to return to Tokyo after an intoxicated customer bit a cabin crew in the middle of the trip, according to ANA.
According to an All Nippon Airways spokeswoman, the passenger, a 55-year-old male presumed to be American, dug his teeth into a crew member’s arm while “heavily drunk,” leaving her with minor injuries.
According to ANA, the incident caused the pilots of the plane carrying 159 passengers to return over the Pacific to Haneda airport, where the man was handed over to authorities.
According to Japanese station TBS, the passenger told investigators that he “doesn’t recall at all” his actions.
