Solar panel prices drop further in Pakistan

Solar panel prices in Pakistan have seen another significant drop, bringing relief to consumers looking to switch to renewable energy sources.

According to dealers in Karachi, the cost per watt of solar panels has now come down to PKR 30-32.

This reduction is the result of a sharp decline in global lithium battery prices, which have fallen by 50% over the past year. However, Pakistani importers have been criticized for not fully passing on the benefits of this global price cut to local consumers.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that solar panel prices have fallen in the country, indicating a positive trend for solar energy adoption.

Despite the reduction, consumers are still calling for more transparency and fair pricing from importers to make solar more affordable and accessible to everyone.
