ISLAMABAD: The Shifa Foundation has launched its Greener Pakistan Tree Plantation Drive, calling on young people to take practical action against the growing impacts of climate change and contribute to a healthier and more sustainable Pakistan.
The initiative aims to transform climate awareness into meaningful action by encouraging communities, particularly young people, to participate in tree plantation and environmental protection activities.
The foundation highlighted that climate change is no longer a distant or future concern but a growing reality requiring collective efforts from individuals, communities and institutions.
Through the plantation drive, Shifa Foundation is promoting the importance of trees in creating healthier surroundings, supporting ecosystems and strengthening Pakistan’s environmental resilience.
The campaign also seeks to inspire young people to recognise their role in addressing environmental challenges and become active participants in building greener communities.
The foundation emphasised that meaningful environmental change can begin with simple actions, including planting and caring for trees.
Under the campaign’s message, “Plant Today. Grow Tomorrow!”, the initiative encourages citizens to contribute to a greener future by turning environmental awareness into action.
