A driver and an assistant driver were injured when the Rehman Baba Express from Paishwar derailed near Faisalabad on Sunday.
Rahman Baba Express, on its way from Paishwar to Lahore, collided with a tractor-trolley near Faisalabad, severely damaging the train engine and seriously injuring the driver and assistant driver.
According to the initial report from the headquarters, the driver and co-driver were trapped inside the crashed motorcycle, but they were rescued by villagers from nearby villages.
According to a railway spokesperson, the train was restored within half an hour and all passengers remained safe during the incident.
On the other hand, the Chief Executive of Pakistan Railways has formed an inquiry committee consisting of three grade 20 officers and will send its first report to the Director General within 24 hours.
