Naseem Vicky recently shared his disappointment with the behavior of fellow actors during a podcast hosted by comedian and host Ahmad Ali Butt. He expressed that his experience of working across the border was met with more criticism and opposition than love and praise.
He mentioned two actors and hosts by name, acknowledging his respect for them, but pointed out that their comments about his cross-border work suggested that it was not a significant achievement. He even mentioned one host whom he personally didn’t know.
Naseem Vicky admitted that his biggest mistake in life was working on Comedy Nights with Kapil. He explained that this experience did not bring him any benefit or recognition. Instead, representing Pakistan internationally only led to criticism about his work, with people questioning what he had really accomplished.
The comedian also discussed the challenges in the Pakistani entertainment industry, particularly the lack of rehearsals in theater, which has led to a decline in new comedic talent emerging in the last decade. He stated that many young actors today do not prepare adequately, making it difficult for them to succeed without proper scriptwriting and practice.
