Leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Mehr Muhammad Yar Khan and Malik Ahmed Hassan on Thursday decided to join Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Khan, who hails from Sialkot, called on former president Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari at Bilawal House in Lahore.
Among those present were Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, Mohsin Malhi, Rana Qamar Iqbal and Sheikh Imran Afzal.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday promised to provide free medical treatment to the people of Punjab.

Addressing a workers’ rally in Lahore, Bhutto-Zardari said: “The PPP has no competition with any of the political parties. The real competition of the PPP is to overcome the challenges of unemployment.”
Former foreign minister promised property rights to Katchi Abadis in Punjab. “Now I will build 3 million houses for the poor section of the society,” he added.
