LOWER DIR: The district administration has seized illegally transported timber as part of ongoing action against illegal tree cutting and timber smuggling in the district.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Assistant Commissioner Timergara Zia Khan in accordance with the provincial government’s directions.
The confiscated timber will be handed over to the Forest Department for further legal proceedings. The district administration has also sent a formal letter seeking legal action against the alleged timber smuggler involved in the illegal transportation.
The administration said indiscriminate action against illegal logging and timber smuggling will continue in order to protect forests and natural resources.
The crackdown highlights the importance of stronger enforcement against illegal timber trade and the protection of forests for environmental conservation and future generations.
