ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi planted a sapling during his visit to Abbottabad as part of the plantation campaign being carried out by the provincial Forest Department.
The plantation activity was organized under the direction of Chief Minister’s Adviser on Forests Pir Musawir Khan. Chief Conservator of Forests Asghar Khan, Conservator Hayat Ali and other senior officers and officials of the Forest Department were present on the occasion.
Special arrangements were made by the Forest Department for the plantation activity during the Chief Minister’s visit.
The initiative highlights the provincial government’s focus on environmental protection, forest expansion and increasing green cover across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The participation of the Chief Minister in the plantation campaign also underscores the importance of sustained tree plantation and forest conservation efforts in addressing environmental challenges and building a greener and more resilient province.
The Forest Department continues to promote plantation activities as part of broader efforts to protect natural resources, strengthen ecosystems and encourage public participation in environmental conservation.
