KALLAR KAHAR, Aug. 3: Assistant Commissioner Dr. Tazeen Zafar conducted a series of inspections and meetings across Kallar Kahar to review development projects, sanitation measures, traffic management, public utilities, and revenue administration aimed at improving civic services in the tehsil.
During her visit to various areas under the Municipal Committee, the Assistant Commissioner inspected the installation of tuff tiles at the Modern Handcart Market and reviewed the placement of new public information flex boards. She directed the concerned officials to ensure that all development works are completed on time while maintaining high construction standards.
As part of the “One Day, One Village” campaign, Dr. Tazeen Zafar also visited Mouza Bhal to assess sanitation conditions. The overall cleanliness situation was found to be satisfactory, with the village graveyard cleaned and waste bins emptied. However, garbage was found on two vacant plots, prompting immediate instructions for its removal.
During the inspection, a deep open well was identified in the village. The Assistant Commissioner directed the revenue staff and the landowner concerned to immediately secure and cover the well to prevent any accidents. Officials confirmed that no open manholes were found in the village.
Later, Dr. Tazeen Zafar chaired a meeting with transporters to discuss measures for resolving the issue of illegal transport stands in the tehsil. Participants deliberated on proposals to improve traffic flow at Kallar Kahar Chowk and eliminate unauthorized transport terminals. The Assistant Commissioner emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to develop a permanent solution.
She also held a meeting with the PRMC Tehsil Manager to review issues faced by residents due to the ongoing World Bank-supported sewerage and water supply projects. Relevant authorities were instructed to address public complaints promptly while ensuring the timely and efficient execution of the development schemes.
Concluding her engagements, the Assistant Commissioner presided over proceedings in the Revenue Court and held a public hearing at her office, where she listened to citizens’ complaints and applications. She directed the concerned officials to resolve public grievances promptly, transparently, and strictly on merit, reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to responsive and efficient public service delivery.
