Travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar has died after falling 300 feet into a ravine near a waterfall in India, according to authorities.
“She fell on a hard, slippery piece of rock about 300 feet into the valley and was initially undetectable,” a rescue worker told The Economic Times. “She was sent up using a stretcher attached to the abseil ropes. Six rescuers descended the hill while another 50 assisted at the top of the hill.”
Kamdar initially responded and was put on a ventilator, but he died at Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, according to The Economic Times.
Officials said the retired accountant was filming an Instagram reel at the time of the accident when she lost her footing and fell into a ravine, according to The Hindustan Times and CBS News.
Known for her travel tips, Kamdar had 285,000 followers on Instagram.
