ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has delivered its long-awaited verdict in the contempt of court case. The court announced its decision and reserved no leniency for those found guilty of misconduct.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, a prominent figure in the administrative hierarchy, was found guilty of misconduct by the Hon’ble Court. In addition, the verdict outlined that Memon was guilty of contempt of court.
In response to his actions, the IHC handed down a severe sentence and sentenced Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon to six months behind bars. This decision underscores the court’s firm stance against any offense that undermines the sanctity of its authority.
The fallout of the court’s verdict went beyond Memon as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jameel Zafar found himself entangled in the same legal web. Zafar, a key police official in the capital, was similarly found guilty of misconduct.
