Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has commented on photos of his ex-partner Natasya Stankovic and their son Agastya, marking their first public interaction since their split on 18 July.
Stankovic, who recently returned to her native Serbia, posted pictures of her day out with Agastya on Wednesday, July 24, on Instagram. Pandya responded by expressing his affection for the photos of the duo.
This public display of affection comes shortly after Pandya and Stankovic announced their split after dating for four years. On 18 July, Pandya made the announcement via his Instagram account and issued a joint statement with Stankovic.
The couple’s decision to split comes after months of speculation that began during the 2024 Indian Premier League season, when keen observers noted that Stankovic had deleted photos of the couple from her Instagram profile and removed Pandya’s name.
In a joint statement, the former couple emphasized their mutual decision to separate and their commitment to co-parenting their son Agastya. Pandya stated, “After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to separate from each other. We tried our best and gave it our all and we believe it is in our best interest both. It was a difficult decision for us, given the joy, mutual respect and friendship we enjoyed together and as we grew our family.”
He further added, “We are blessed with Agastya who will continue to be the center of our lives and we will be involved in giving him everything we can for his happiness.”
Pandya concluded the statement by asking for privacy at this challenging time: “We sincerely ask for your support and understanding to provide us with privacy at this difficult and sensitive time.”
