QUETTA: Secretary Environment and Climate Change Department Noor Ahmed Parkani has ordered the suspension of Assistant Director EPA Sub-Office Sibi Abdul Haq for 90 days after he was found absent from his assigned place of duty during a live location verification.
The action was taken during a review meeting of the Balochistan Environmental Protection Agency (BEPA), where the secretary checked the live locations and duty stations of district-level officers.
According to officials, Abdul Haq, Assistant Director EPA Sibi, was not found present at his designated place of posting when his location was verified.
The secretary ordered his immediate suspension for 90 days and directed the department to initiate formal disciplinary proceedings against him under the Balochistan Employees’ Efficiency and Discipline (BEDA) Act.
Noor Ahmed Parkani directed all officers to remain present at their assigned duty stations and perform their responsibilities. He warned that negligence in official duties or unauthorised absence would result in strict action under the relevant rules.
The move reflects the department’s focus on strengthening field monitoring, administrative discipline and accountability among environmental officers.
