Climate Minister Chairs First Review Meeting on PM’s Directives for NITB Reforms

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik on Sunday chaired the first meeting of a committee formed on the directives of the Prime Minister to review the implementation of reforms at the National Information Technology Board (NITB).

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Secretary of the Establishment Division, and the Chief Executive Officer of NITB also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, officials briefed the committee on the functioning of the NITB and the implementation of 27 directives aimed at improving the board’s performance, strengthening institutional efficiency, and streamlining its operations.

The committee reviewed the progress made so far and discussed additional measures to further enhance the effectiveness and performance of the NITB.

The participants agreed to continue the review process, and the committee will meet again in the coming days to assess further progress on the implementation of the Prime Minister’s directives.
