In a unique gesture, a profitable company in China has introduced an unconventional way to reward its employees with an annual bonus.
According to Chinese media reports, a crane manufacturing company announced that it would give its employees bonuses up to $11 million at the end of the year, equivalent to over 3.06 billion Pakistani Rupees.
The company offered its employees a challenge: to count as much money as possible in a given time, and they would receive that amount as their bonus. This offer excited the workers.
Reports suggest that when the company made the announcement, employees came prepared and tried to count as much money as they could from piles of cash spread out on a large table during the allotted time.
According to reports, in the 15-minute time frame, one employee counted the highest amount, earning a bonus of 100,000 yuan, which is more than 3.885 million Pakistani Rupees.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Hainan Mining Crane Company has made headlines for its generous bonuses. In 2023, the company also distributed large amounts of cash among its employees during the annual dinner.
This unique method of distributing bonuses has not only made the employees happy but also enhanced the company’s reputation globally.
