KAMALIA: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Justice Aalia Neelum inaugurated the new Judicial Complex Kamalia on September 25 and planted a memorial tree on the premises, highlighting the importance of greener public institutions.
Officials from the Kamalia Forest Department’s plantation team also attended the ceremony, with Forest Officer Rana Zeeshan playing a leading role in arrangements for the plantation activity. Forest Department staff provided support for the tree-planting arrangements.
Members of the district judiciary, lawyers from the Kamalia Bar Association and officials from other departments also participated in the event.
The Chief Justice appreciated the Forest Department’s efforts and emphasised the importance of increasing green cover in judicial and other public institutions.
Rana Zeeshan assured the gathering that the Forest Department would continue providing support to develop the Judicial Complex as a greener and more environmentally friendly space.
Planting trees in institutional areas can provide shade, support local biodiversity, improve the surrounding environment and contribute to healthier urban spaces. Such initiatives can also help promote greater public awareness about the importance of trees and environmental protection.
