A Maryland man has won a $50,000 lottery prize using a number copied from a car’s license plate.
According to media reports, the Maryland resident told lottery officials that he often remembers license plates he sees on the road or at the scene of accidents and uses them to win the lottery. One such set, number 20533, which he used recently, won him a $50,000 jackpot.
“When my number five was registered, I was excited, excited,” said the resident.
Interestingly, the same amount in 2053 earned him a $5,000 prize in 2023.
He said that the gift will be used for his grandson’s savings.
