BAHAWALPUR: The District Horticulture Agency organised a Neem Walk from Ramana Phatak to the Shishmahi Canal, during which more than 500 neem and other native saplings were planted.
The activity aimed to promote tree plantation and encourage the growth of local tree species, which can contribute to a greener and healthier environment.
During the event, it was also decided that the District Horticulture Agency would launch a tree plantation initiative in graveyards in collaboration with the private sector.
The initiative is expected to expand green spaces and encourage community participation in environmental protection across Bahawalpur.
