Speaking to the media outside the Sindh Assembly after casting votes for the six-seat Senate elections, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said the PPP had rejected the appointment of the chairman of the Federal Indus River System Authority (IRSA).
Murad Ali Shah said that the issue is of small provinces and PPP is not in favor of handing over Irsa to the federal government.
He said he hoped the new finance minister would play an important role in getting the country out of trouble.
“PTI founder or Shahbaz Sharif will not tolerate injustice towards Sindh. We will return the notification for the appointment of Irsa chairman,” the Sindh CM said.
“The law and order situation in Sindh is worse than in the last six months. The situation worsened during the caretaker government,” the Sindh CM said.
“If we find something wrong, we will protest. If anyone tries to harm the people of Sindh, there will be full protest,” Shah said. He said that the PPP’s primary priority is to restore peace.
“I am looking into the matter of Chairman Karachi Interboard. There is no minister yet, only you are looking after this department. This issue will be resolved soon,” he told the media.
