ISLAMABAD, Aug 31, 2026: On the directions of President Asif Ali Zardari, former Senate Chairman Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari and President’s Spokesperson Murtaza Solangi visited the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad to convey condolences and solidarity on behalf of the President and the people of Pakistan over the loss of lives and widespread devastation caused by severe floods in Nepal.
The floods followed landslides and a glacial lake outburst along the China-Nepal border last week, causing significant loss of life and damage in affected areas.
Nepalese Ambassador Rita Dhital received the Pakistani delegation and appreciated the solidarity and support extended by the Government and people of Pakistan during the difficult time.
During the visit, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari and Murtaza Solangi also recorded messages of condolence and solidarity in the embassy’s visitors’ book.
Pakistan has expressed its continued support for the people of Nepal as the country faces the aftermath of the devastating disaster.
