The people of Denmark have launched a petition titled “Make California Great Again” to buy the U.S. state of California, which has already gathered over 200,000 Danish signatures.
The goal is to collect $1 trillion and 500,000 signatures. This initiative is actually a humorous and sarcastic response from the Danish nation to Trump’s announcement of wanting to buy Greenland.
At the start of the petition, it states:
“Let’s make California ‘New Denmark’—ride bicycles in Hollywood, spread ‘Hygge’ (the Danish concept of coziness and happiness) in the streets, and enjoy Danish cuisine in hotels.”
The Danish people argue that they need beautiful sunshine, palm trees, and roller skates, all of which California offers. This unique petition has gained immense popularity among Danes.
