Kotli: A two-day training session for government and private school teachers was organized by Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah, District Health Officer Kotli, under the Social Health Program’s pilot project, in collaboration with WHO.
The training session was held at the DHQ Conference hall Kotli’s conference hall and was attended by District Education Officers Syed Jamshid Ahmed Bukhari and Mariam Ashraf.
WHO provided training to teachers from the Renovated BHU area by WHO on social health programs.
During the two-day training session, teachers received comprehensive training on basic health issues, including:
- Children’s vision and hearing problems
- Skin diseases
- Worms and other intestinal issues
- Head lice infestations
The training session was coordinated by Hamza Ali Syed, Focal Person for Elementary and Secondary Education Kotli, and AD Kamran Gorsi and newly appointed Health Educator Officer Abdul Malik Usmani from the Health Department.
Teachers actively participated in the training session, presenting their understanding of the material through presentations.
WHO’s Technical Officer, Ms. Tahira, and Dr. Haroon, provided technical support throughout the two-day training session.”
At the end of the training, there was a certificate distribution ceremony to the participants in which Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah District Health Officer Kotli, Syed Jamshed Ahmed Bukhari District Education Officer (M) Kotli, Maryam Ashraf District Education Officer (F) Kotli, Malik Butt Managing Director RIST, Mr. Dr. Basharat Social Mobilize District Health Office, Dr. Saadat, Madam Tahira Technical Member WHO and Dr. Haroon participated.
