The northern region of Al-Jouf in Saudi Arabia has witnessed snowfall for the first time in history, following heavy rains and hailstorms at the start of this week.
According to Arab media reports, the severe rain and hailstorms that occurred earlier this week not only caused snowfall but also breathed new life into the region’s dry valleys and scorching deserts.
The Saudi Meteorological Department, in light of the weather changes in Al-Jouf, has issued a warning for stormy rains in the surrounding areas, with the possibility of heavy rains, hail, and strong winds.
In this region, wildflowers barely bloomed during the spring season, but in the coming months, the area is expected to see the growth of fragrant plants and seasonal flowers.
