Video streaming platform YouTube is set to introduce a change in the playback speed control design for Android and iOS users.
Previously, the app would display a large interface for playback speed, covering half of the smartphone screen, with options such as 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, Normal, 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, and 2x.
Now, the company is reducing the size of this user interface, which will appear at the very bottom of the screen. The interface will offer five preset options: 0.25, Normal (1.0), 1.2, 1.5, and 2.0.
Additionally, a slider will be added to the interface, allowing users to adjust the playback speed by 0.5 increments, either by using the plus and minus buttons or by sliding with their finger.
