KOHAT: Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat (WSSCK) celebrated World Handwashing Day on Tuesday.
Every year, on October 15, the World Handwashing Day is celebrated all over the world, which aims to highlight the importance of World Handwashing Day.
In this connection, the WSSCK Kohat organized an event at Government Girls Primary School Jangal Khel, The City School, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan School System and various activities in DA of Government Girls Primary School.
During the activities, schoolchildren were taught the correct way to wash their hands and told them how important it is to wash their hands with soap at different times of the day to stay healthy.
Schoolchildren also presented speeches on the occasion of World Handwashing Day.
Manager Media and Communication Asma Ali told the children during the activity that by washing their hands with soap at different times during the day, they can protect themselves from diarrhea, fever and stomach diseases.
She explained to the children to adopt the habit of washing their hands after using the washroom and before eating.
The official added that awareness about health is the need of the hour, and the use of soap to wash hands to prevent germs. There is a safe way, she added.
