According to the Met Minister and local sources, Pakistan is experiencing a mix of weather events in different regions.
Rain is expected in several places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide relief from the hot weather. Meanwhile, the weather in Islamabad is expected to remain hot and dry during the day. However, residents should be prepared for thunderstorms in the evening and strong winds.
Central and southern Punjab, northern and southern Balochistan, and upper and central Sindh are all expected to receive rain. These rains offer a welcome break from dry conditions and may help with water scarcity issues in the region.
Balochistan
In contrast, most districts of Balochistan seem to be dry and hot. However, certain areas like Khuzdar, Kalat, Jhal Magsi, Sibbi, Nasirabad and Jafarabad are likely to receive rain during the next 24 hours. In addition, thunder is expected around Usta Mohammad, Dera Bugti, Barhan, Musakhel, Shirani, Zhob.
Lahore
In Lahore, the temperature dropped due to the wind blowing through the city.
The weather department has recorded a reduction in humidity and warm winds and forecast rain today. Lahore experienced a significant drop in temperature due to strong winds.
Although this gives relief to the residents, dumping remains a challenge despite the demands of the authorities. Despite having more than 70,000 transformers, the replacement of overloaded transformers was not done, resulting in eight to 10 hours of load shedding.
Prolonged power outages cause inconvenience to residents, especially in the summer months.
