In a world of glossy and glamorous shots of celebrities and influencers catapulting themselves onto their followers’ phones with dazzling shots of their chic homes and days spent at restaurants to die for, model and actress Momina Khan gave her viewers a dose of reality by reminding them, that it’s all an illusion
Draped in a long white dress, Momina, sat casually on the floor and pondered aloud the speed at which people update their social media, exclaiming, “I just don’t get it. these people who always post first thing in the morning! When I’m off, I want to be in bed and rest!”
Lamenting the crowd of naysayers who criticize celebrities for living in an alternate, glamorous reality, the Daal Chawal star added: “People who look at us think negatively, but we are just like you. Sometimes I’ll post a photo that’s a week old. It’s not happening in real time.”
Focusing on the fasting and discipline that Ramazan entails, Momina admitted that with the omnipresent power of social media, she may be regularly drawn to her phone between prayers during the day, but not after iftar. “After iftar, I just want to eat, pray and go to sleep,” she remarked.
