Ravens linebacker Jadeveon Clowney celebrated his $750,000 payday with a memorable sack dance during a 17-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday.
Clowney recorded the much-anticipated sack of Pittsburgh Steelers’ Mason Rudolph at M&T Bank Stadium, increasing his bonus from $1 million to $1.75 million, ESPN reported.
The memorable moment saw him bounce around the field and wave his hands in the air for more than 30 seconds between plays.
“He’s been talking about it [the incentive] the last two weeks,” Ravens nose tackle Michael Pierce said. “That was a very long celebration. That might have been the record for the longest celebration.”
Baltimore’s 30-year-old linebacker Clowney has been an excellent signing this offseason, having originally signed a one-year deal worth $2.5 million and nearly doubling his base salary and signing bonus with 9.5 sacks.

He received a $1 million incentive in November for reaching seven sacks. However, he only managed one sack in four games, so he was worried about getting any more bonus money.
In the season finale, Clowney forced Rudolph to fumble with 31 seconds left in the second quarter, which was ruled a sack.
“I didn’t know I had a sack and then they told me,” Clowney said. “I was like, ‘Oh yeah,’ and you just start picking it up. I had a good time doing it.”
Asked what he would do with the extra money, Clowney said, “I’ll put it with the rest of my money — under the mattress, in the bank. I have three kids. I’ve got to keep taking care of them. Football is going to end one day.”
