WASHINGTON: US State Department spokesman Matthew Muller expressed US readiness to work with the new Pakistani government during a press briefing on Monday.
Muller emphasized the enduring partnership between the two nations and the importance of his country’s alliance with Pakistan.
Matthew Miller said it was important to pursue common interests with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He said that a prosperous and democratic Pakistan is in line with the interests of both the US and Pakistan.
Miller marked a milestone in Pakistan’s political scene by electing Maryam Nawaz as the Chief Minister of Punjab. He expressed satisfaction with the significant events that are empowering women.
