ABBOTTABAD, September 14, 2026: Faculty members and students of the University of Haripur visited the office of the Northern Forest Region-II in Abbottabad as part of an educational visit aimed at providing students with practical exposure to forestry management and conservation activities.
During the visit, DFO Daur Watershed Division Abbottabad Syed Rizwan Ahmed Kazmi briefed the visiting faculty and students about the Northern Forest Region-II and delivered a detailed presentation on ongoing forestry initiatives in the region.
The presentation covered various aspects of forestry management, watershed management, plantation activities and conservation efforts being undertaken to protect and sustainably manage forest resources.
DFO Shehryar Delawar and SDFO Abbottabad Watershed Sub-Division Behramand Khan were also present on the occasion.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to connect their academic learning with practical field experience and gain a better understanding of the challenges and responsibilities involved in forest and watershed management.
Such educational visits help strengthen links between academic institutions and government departments while encouraging students to develop a greater understanding of environmental conservation, sustainable forest management and the importance of protecting natural resources.
