RAHIM YAR KHAN, September 14, 2026: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Rahim Yar Khan has launched a crackdown against brick kilns operating in violation of environmental laws and prescribed anti-smog standard operating procedures.
During the enforcement operation, EPA teams took action against illegal brick kilns found causing significant air pollution and operating without the required Zig-Zag technology.
The non-compliant kilns were demolished in accordance with EPA SOPs as part of efforts to control emissions and improve air quality across the district.
The enforcement drive is aimed at reducing harmful emissions from brick kilns, controlling smog and protecting public health from the impacts of air pollution.
EPA Rahim Yar Khan has reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement against environmental violators and urged brick kiln operators to adopt approved emission-control technologies.
The agency stressed that the adoption of Zig-Zag technology is essential for reducing emissions and supporting cleaner air as Punjab continues efforts to tackle smog and air pollution.
