A new term for family Iqama in UAE
According to local media, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship has announced new conditions under which foreigners living in the Emirates can obtain Ikama for their families.
A minimum monthly income of 4,000 dirhams or 3,000 dirhams and proof of residence must be provided to live in a family.
Two family members above 18 years must undergo medical examination for family Iqama. Tests will only be accepted from approved medical facilities.
According to the authorities, if the relatives of the iqama holder reside in the emirate on a temporary entry visa, they can change their visa to a visa.
The conversion process must be completed within 60 days of arrival from the UAE.
According to the notification, ‘electronic channels’ or authorized websites can also be used to apply to the Authority.
