LAHORE: A high tea was hosted in honour of the Top 15 Interns of the CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program Phase-II, Batch-I, in recognition of their exceptional dedication and outstanding performance.
The event was attended by Secretary Environment Protection, Climate Change and Development (EP&CCD) Ms. Silwat Saeed, who appreciated the interns for their efforts and encouraged them to play an active role in addressing climate challenges.
During the session, the interns shared their perspectives and insights on climate change, while a detailed discussion was held on their Capstone Projects. The projects were appreciated for their relevance and potential contribution to climate action and were discussed further with the participants.
Ms. Silwat Saeed highlighted the importance of youth leadership in addressing environmental and climate challenges. She also shared her vision for building a greener, more sustainable and climate-resilient Punjab, emphasizing the role of young professionals in translating climate knowledge into practical solutions.
As part of the program, the interns also visited Climate Watch, providing them with an opportunity to gain further exposure to climate-related initiatives and practical approaches to environmental monitoring and awareness.
Certificates were presented to the Top 15 interns in recognition of their performance and commitment, with the initiative aimed at motivating young climate leaders to continue contributing to environmental protection and climate resilience.
The event underscored the Punjab government’s focus on youth engagement, climate leadership and capacity building as important components of its environmental agenda.
