Thousands of fish have mysteriously died in Rawal Dam, including millions of fish fry stocked in the dam.
The deceased fish include species such as Rohu, China, Gulfam, Mohri, Silver, Grass, Big Head, and Singara. The contractor’s staff is busy collecting and disposing of the dead fish, and a forensic analysis of the dead fish and the dam’s water will be conducted.
Local residents report that the water level in the dam has dropped significantly, leading to a shortage of oxygen which causes fish to die. This is an annual occurrence, with smaller fish typically being affected.
