Thieves managed to steal two cars after entering British King Charles III’s residence, Windsor Castle.
The incident occurred on October 13, but details have only emerged now.
According to a report by British newspaper The Sun on November 17, two thieves targeted a farm located in the grounds of Windsor Castle. They jumped over a fence to enter and then stole the cars.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police confirmed that the suspects entered a building on the farm, stole the vehicles, and managed to escape.
So far, no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.
The report further mentioned that the thieves jumped over six large fences to enter the field and, during their escape, crashed the stolen vehicle into the farm’s gate. This alerted the staff to their presence.
Windsor Castle, covering 16,000 acres and located 20 miles west of London, is currently home to Prince William and his family at Adelaide Cottage.
The report suggests that Prince William and his family were present at the cottage at the time of the theft, but King Charles and his wife were not there.
This is not the first time someone has unlawfully entered Windsor Castle. In 2021, a man with a bow and arrow entered the castle grounds but was arrested by the police.
