There are several reasons of Israeli-Palestinian conflict: Thosethnic, national, historical, and religious. But the religious dimension of the conflict is the most prominent one. Religion is impacts the identity of people implicated in this conflicting resulting the practical issues.
Islam and Judaism are the base of this conflict.
The sacred holy places and the apocalyptic narratives of both religions are hostile to any potential for lasting peace between the two sides. The Zionists in Israel claim themselves as guardians and definers of the real religiin and real Jewish realm. While, Islamist groups in Palestine and elsewhere in the Islamic world advocate the necessity of liberating the “holy” territories and sites for religious reasons, and prive that violence and hatred against Israel and the Jewish people is real and justified.
Jew plan to destroy al Aqsa mosque and build the Jewish third temple over there, and Muslims belive that the Jews must be banished and annihilated.
The borders, security, mutual recognition, refugees, the Jewish settlements in the West Bank, and the issue of authority directly link themselves to the fvour and faith of Jewish people and Muslim people around the world. It is said “The original ownership and authority over Jerusalem are highly contested due to the presence of holy sites for Christians, Jews, and Muslims in the city”. In history, Jerusalem has been attacked fifty-two times, captured and recaptured forty-four times, besieged twenty-three times, and destroyed twice. Ancient Egyptians, the Canaanites, the Israelites, the Greeks, the Romans, the Persians, Byzantines, the Islamic Caliphates, the Crusaders, the Ottomans, and the British ruled over Jeroslem. Now, the Jews have been declared the real possessors of this territory by the international jurisdiction.
Iews claim that Jeroselum was the first capital of the Jews, the Muslims claims that it was their first Muslim Ǫiblah. It is the placeof Prophet Muhammad’s Isra’ and Mi’raj, the journey to heaven.
Gaza is now the main state of this disruption and the West Bank after the U.S. are favouring the Jews and their cause unjustifiably.
The West Bank settlements are said to be aided by Jewish lobby.
Jewish religious extremists want to annihilate Muslims while the Mujahideens of Hamas call for using firce against Israel in the name of Islam. This Muslim Brotherhood group, stretching through many Arab (and several non-Arab) countries, seeks to revive Islam and re-establish the historical Islamic Caliphate by seizing power. And this is a justified claim on their part.
Egypt and Jordan, have made direct peacemaking with Israel but that could not ensure the people-to-people or cultural normalization.
The tug may be weakened by the unhostile advancement of Isreal to let the Palestinians have thieir owpart of the old Qibla thee otherwise of which would result as not only the catastrophic conditions of the two nation,but also the fatal hollocast of the whole world.
