According to a report on the website ‘Sri Live,’ sleep expert Dr. Michael Bruce, known as the ‘Sleep Doctor,’ has revealed a way to fall asleep faster than with sleeping pills.
Dr. Michael Bruce called bananas the magical fruit that can make you fall asleep quickly. He explained that eating a banana before bed promotes better and faster sleep.
Dr. Bruce clarified that people usually associate bananas with providing energy in the morning, but in reality, eating them at night offers several benefits. He referred to bananas as a ‘natural sleeping pill’ because they contain magnesium.
Additionally, Dr. Bruce praised other fruits that help improve sleep, with kiwis ranking second after bananas. Kiwi increases serotonin in the brain, which is a calming hormone, offering a chance for relaxation before sleep.
Dr. Michael also recommended eating yogurt or pineapple before bed for better sleep.
Experts further explain that bananas are rich in magnesium, an essential nutrient for relaxation and sleep. A medium-sized banana (126 grams) contains about 34 milligrams of magnesium.
