National Test team captain Shan Masood said that the domestic red ball championship is about to start and there will be a total of nine Test matches this year, seven of which will be held in Pakistan.
During a press conference on Sunday, Masood added that Pakistan is playing a Test match after ten months and the leadership has changed, but the team will try their best to perform every Test match.
He said, “I guarantee that there is no fixation element present in the Pakistan team.”
Shan Masood hopes to bring the same happiness to the nation that Arshad Nadeem brought. He further says that he guarantees that the players will play for the country and the match fixing factor will be zero.
The team selection is done according to the requirements of the Pakistan team and suggests that the players must be mentally tough as it plays a role in cricket.
“Young players are encouraged to be trained under the guidance of their seniors and coaches and hope to learn the tips and tricks of Test cricket,” he said.
