Security Operation in DI Khan: Two Terrorists from Banned Organization Killed

Peshawar: Two terrorists were killed in a security operation by forces in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to police sources, the police encounter took place at the Lakki Marwat Police Station premises. In the exchange of fire, two terrorists from Tipu Gul’s gang were killed and their accomplices fled to the mountains. Two Kalashnikovs, eight magazines, dozens of cartridges and four hand grenades were recovered from the dead terrorist.

Police sources said that the intelligence operation was conducted jointly by the police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) from the Bannu region. Terrorists planned an attack on Abbasia Khattak police post and Dadiwala police station. The terrorists launched a grenade attack on the police force from the opposite side. The exchange of fire lasted for half an hour. The bodies of the slain terrorists were shifted to Sarai Naurang Hospital for autopsy.
