Sajal Aly took to her Instagram Stories to comment on the state of Pakistan’s elections. The multi-turn political arena has been a hotbed of activity and emotionally charged discourse of late. The actress took to her IG Stories to share her insights regarding the same.
“Many changes have happened since last night,” the star said in Urdu. She added a clapping emoji next to it. In her next IG story, the actress shared the famous song Roy from Laga Reh Shehzad, which touches on the state of Pakistan, its political leaders and the people living in the country. Praising the singer for keeping it cool all the way, Sajal tagged Shehzad and said in Urdu, “Your concerns were accurate. Sad.”

Moreover, the talented actor managed to find a silver lining in all of this. She declared in Urdu, “However, the good news is that today the entire nation is concerned about the nation. Keep at it!” The report underscored the fact that despite the socio-political turmoil, the country has reached a point where its people are fighting to make their voices heard loud and clear.
However, Sajal was not alone in expressing her opinion on the matter. Famous activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai also attended X to share her thoughts on the ongoing election process. “Pakistan needs free and fair elections, which includes transparency in the counting of votes and respect for the results,” Malala said.
She added: “Today, I believe, as always, that we must accept the decision of the voters with grace. I hope that our elected representatives, whether in the ruling or opposition parties, will prioritize democracy and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.”
