A wide array of roles has been assigned to academic institutes globally, be it primary, secondary, tertiary, or institutes of higher education. Amongst these, ‘teaching and provision of skillful knowledge’ to an organized group of individuals is the most acclaimed role. In addition, the academic institutes also confer preparedness amongst its attendees for community life and an appropriate profession. Certain neglected roles still include teaching of social integration on society, positivism towards life, and critical thinking.

She proclaimed that instilling the spirit of a just cause or a true revolution such as that for ‘Kashmir Struggle’ in the new generation is also a pivotal role of academic institutes.
Emphasizing on Kashmir issue she asserted that India had been engaged in state terrorism within the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and that the Kashmiris had endured unprecedented human rights violations at the hands of Indian occupation forces. She highlighted that the Indian government had granted an unrestricted mandate to RSS to implement its ideologies in the region which had resulted in the widespread permeation of RSS ideologies throughout Indian society. She said that the collaboration between Indian Government and RSS had posed threat to the minorities of India and the overall peace and stability of the region. She also urged the international community to take decisive action against the network of RSS terror which was extending across continents.
In a nutshell, she extended an invitation to the vice-chancellors of universities to actively contribute in the formulation of recommendations in response to India’s illegal actions in IIOJK. She expressed appreciation for the efforts made by Higher Education Commission (HEC) in educating the younger generation about the complexities of the Kashmir issue.
