Reham Khan is all set to make a grand comeback in the film industry.
Her latest venture is a Pakistani-Punjabi film that will mark her return to the world of entertainment.
She revealed her second feature film: Cheema, Chattha and Bajwa during an episode of the Hafiz Ahmed Podcast.
Not many people know that Reham Khan was the producer of the 2016 blockbuster Janaan.
The film featured Armeena Rana Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Ali Rehman Khan, Hania Aamir and Ajab Gul.
It dealt with the problem of child abuse and took place in the picturesque Svát Valley.
Janaan was a major success at the box office, raking in an impressive PKR 30 million (£84,000).
Cheema, Chattha and Bajwa will focus on Punjabi individuals who have established their lives in countries like Canada and the UK.
The theme of Punjabi citizens residing abroad has been a recurring theme in films originating from Indian Punjab for many years.
Indian Punjabi films have done really well in Pakistani theaters as well.
In Cheema, Chattha and Bajwa, Reham Khan not only produces but is also credited as the writer.
Her aim for this film is to showcase the Pakistani Punjabi diaspora. This is similar to how the Indian Punjabi community shared their culture globally.
She provided details and mentioned that although the story is largely complete, the team is currently involved in the casting process.
Specifically, they are looking for the perfect Pakistani Punjabi hero.
