Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her speech on Baisakhi festival said that Baisakhi is a unique cultural symbol of Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister also said that Baisakhi is a happy festival, I congratulate all my relatives. He welcomed the Sikh brothers and sisters who came to celebrate Baisakhi in Punjab, first Pakistanis and Punjabis, who live in the heart of Punjab and said that every person of Punjab equally welcomes the joy of Baisakhi.
About 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India crossed the Wagah border into Pakistan to participate in the annual three-day Baishi Mela celebration.
Welcomed by the Evacuee Trust Estate Board and the Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the pilgrims will join the main event at Hasan Abdal tomorrow.
