Islamabad: Celebrating 20 years of World Blood Donor Day, PTCL Group (PTCL & Ufone 4G), Pakistan’s largest telecom and ICT service provider, continues its legacy of compassion to save lives and ensure continuous blood supply in hospitals and blood banks by donating blood every year. .
This year, PTCL team joined hands with Pakistan Red Cross Society (PRCS) for a drive organized at Ufone in Islamabad. Managers and employees of PTCL & Ufone 4G participated in the drive with enthusiasm and belief in the importance of their contribution. This campaign is conducted every year under PTCL Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program to create shared value for citizens and society.
World Blood Donor Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood. The PTCL fraternity knows that blood is a source that cannot come from donors alone and depends on the patient’s willingness for medical treatment, operations and emergencies, especially for patients with serious medical conditions such as thalassemia, anemia. , cancer, trauma, etc.
The generous donation of blood donors saves millions of lives every year. That is why the World Health Organization (WHO) celebrates the 20th anniversary of the day to recognize the love and humanity of blood donors; “Celebrating 20 years: thank you blood donors!”
