Prize money announced for World Cup winners, runners-up

The Indian team received prize money exceeding 24 lakh dollars (which is more than 68 crore Pakistani rupees) for winning the T20 World Cup. This is significantly higher compared to the prize awarded in the last major event held in 2022, where the winning team, England, received 1 million 60 thousand dollars. The runner-up South African team received prize money totaling 1 million 280 thousand dollars (more than 35 crore Pakistani rupees).
