Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan said on Thursday that privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is an opportunity for local and foreign investors.
Aleem Khan chaired the Privatization Board meeting in Islamabad. Investments will increase in importance after PIA’s restructuring. “

A few days later, Aleem Khan and Energy Minister Awais Leghari on Friday decided to speed up the privatization of distribution companies (Discos).
Aleem Khan invited Leghari in Islamabad. Using this opportunity, issues related to privatization of various DISCO and IPP projects were discussed.
Both federal ministers will soon try to finalize the privatization measures by working with their respective departments.
Further, Aleem Khan said that he will fully support Leghari in this matter.
