President Asif Ali Zardari stressed the importance of ensuring the safety and health of workers amid seasonal changes and promised to protect their dignity. He recognized the historic struggle of workers and called for important protections for schools and children.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised people who work hard and strive to earn a living through legal means.
He said, these people have an important role in the economy and development of the country, not only supporting their families but also making a significant contribution to the development of the country.
The Prime Minister, well aware of the current impact of inflation on our working class, has acknowledged the fragile economic situation Pakistan is currently facing.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said, “The government is making efforts to reduce the hardships faced by our economically weaker citizens through special subsidies, social protection and poverty alleviation programs.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated the government’s commitment to improve the welfare of workers by promoting better and cheaper housing, free education and health care and social protection measures.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif welcomed the hardworking people of the world and emphasized on the respect of labor in Islam.
He appreciates the efforts of working women to protect the honor of the family and said that social programs are important for the welfare of workers.
He emphasized the need for initiatives aimed at creating a culture of respect for workers and society where the contribution of each worker is valued.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi today recalled the struggle of workers in Chicago against oppression and oppression. He praised workers as heroes who contribute to the welfare of the country and called for efforts to protect their rights and promote social welfare.
The leaders jointly reiterated their commitment to protect workers’ rights and pledged to take social action to improve their welfare.
